Securing funds from many donors at a time calls for a well-developed familiarity and in depth understanding of the world of donors. It also requires financial planning, an understanding of fundraising processes at both personal and technical levels, strategic thinking, knowledge management, task management, creativity, flexibility, patience, perseverance, and last but not least –endless motivation and belief in your cause.

The task is especially challenging for small and medium-sized organizations, who cannot afford to employ staff overseas, undertake expensive fundraising events, or in some cases even hire full-time professionals for the job.
